The Glen Lake Lakers were the 69-53 winner over the Charlevoix Rayders when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Glen Lake fell 52-45 to Charlevoix on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Glen Lake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacob Plamondon. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. Plamondon scored a full 62.2% of Glen Lake's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Michael Houtteman, who scored 4 points.
Glen Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Charlevoix, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Glen Lake will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Charlevoix, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gaylord at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Gaylord focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
