The Victory Christian Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 87-53 win over Fayetteville on the road. Victory Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
William Wilson-Hueter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 22 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caden Brunson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Thomas, who scored 13 points. Braden Liner was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Fayetteville struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Victory Christian racked up 18 assists.
Victory Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. As for Fayetteville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.
Victory Christian will head out on the road to face off against Cullman Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Cullman Christian is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Fayetteville, they will be playing at home against Isabella at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Isabella comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
