Jaycee Reams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reams was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Michael Kenel and Autumn Dueweke did most of the damage at the plate: Kenel went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Dueweke went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Murray, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI.
Algonac kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
