The Santa Fe Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Capital Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Santa Fe and eight for Capital.
Last Saturday, Santa Fe lost to Albuquerque at home by a decisive 28-12 margin.
Meanwhile, Capital came up short against Clovis on Friday and fell 34-21.
The losing side was boosted by Joseph Rodriguez, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Santa Fe's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. As for Capital, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-8.
Santa Fe took a serious blow against Capital in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 49-6. Thankfully for Santa Fe, Julian Munoz (who threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
