Jones was handed a 28-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Northside on Monday. Jones narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Northside 38-35. The victory was just what Jones needed coming off of a 65-37 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Francis W. Parker scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They skirted past King 52-50. The win was a breath of fresh air for Francis W. Parker as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Anna Swanson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Jones is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Francis W. Parker, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.
