Bunker Hill and Bandys are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. Another reason for the win was Bunker Hill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Walter Mcgill and Anton Elliott who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Bandys put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past West Caldwell, posting a 54-7 win on the road. Given Bandys' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 150th, while West Caldwell is ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bunker Hill's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. Bunker Hill took their win against Bandys in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 37-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bunker Hill since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
