Basketball Recap: Hayden Harris Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Crimson Cliffs

Pine View got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They came out on top against the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs by a score of 55-44 on Tuesday. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Pine View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Harris, who went 8 of 11 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Harris a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenedy Eves, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Pine View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Crimson Cliffs lost, don't look at Coco Korella. Despite the final result, she earned 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Whittaker, who put up eight points and four steals.

The win snapped Pine View's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record. As for Crimson Cliffs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Pine View has already played their next matchup, a 59-46 victory against Hurricane on the 16th. Crimson Cliffs has also already played their next contest (against Dixie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
