Calvary Lutheran is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Hornets an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Calvary Lutheran Lions will take on the Laquey Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Calvary Lutheran suffered a tough 72-49 defeat at the hands of the Hornets. Calvary Lutheran was down 57-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-26, which was the final score in Laquey's tilt against the Lions on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Laquey has scored all season.
Calvary Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Laquey, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Everything went Calvary Lutheran's way against the Hornets in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 as the Lions made off with a 51-30 victory. Will Calvary Lutheran repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
