 Last Friday, Escondido made easy work of Rancho Buena Vista  and carried off  a  31-7 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Cougars.
 Escondido found their leader in sophomore  Caden Thompson, who threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Another big playmaker for Escondido was  Ezekiel McIntyre, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, San Pasqual entered their tilt with Vista on Friday with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding  46-0 victory over the Panthers.
 Escondido has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record  this season. As for San Pasqual, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
