The Central Cobras will challenge the Centennial Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Central proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 13) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past St. Albans 5-4. The win was familiar territory for the Cobras, who have now won three contests in a row.

Timothy Stevens was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Jakobe Blackwood was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Sebring last Thursday and fell 4-1.
Centennial also got a good showing from Armani Estevez, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Estevez has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8-1 otherwise.
At the plate, Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alfonso Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Centennial's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. It's a different story for Centennial, though, as they've only averaged .208. Will they be able to contain Central's hitters?
