Football Recap: Wossman Starts Season with Victory at Home

Wossman took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 36-6 win over the Bastrop Rams. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Rams are ranked 206th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

One reason for the win was Wossman's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wossman will challenge Ouachita Parish at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Bastrop, they will face off against Booker T. Washington-Shreveport at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
