Silver extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-6. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Piedra Vista Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Fighting Colts have lost by just one run.
Alivia Beck was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mia Sanchez, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
As for Piedra Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 29, 2025.
On Piedra Vista's side, OCTAVIANA JOHN made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. JOHN has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on ISABELLA JESSEE, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 matchups. MICHAELA PEREA was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs.
