This season hasn't been kind to the Lamar Silver Foxes, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a 42-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Clarendon on Friday. While losing is never fun, Lamar can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while East Clarendon is ranked tenth).
Hayden White was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with 7 rebounds for East Clarendon. The matchup was White's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmyne Lloyd, who scored 6 points.
Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East Clarendon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Kingstree at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Kingstree focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for East Clarendon, they will head out on the road to face off against Manning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Manning comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
