The York County Tech Spartans will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the West York Area Bulldogs at 4:00  p.m. West York Area took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on York County Tech, who comes in off a win.
 York County Tech gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Steelton-Highspire  a   15-0 shutout.
  Brody Dedrick made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Dedrick was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news, York County Tech let  Owen Urey and  Dale Dupler loose on the outfield. Urey  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while  Dupler  went 1-for-2 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jacob Combs, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, West York Area came up short against Donegal on Wednesday and fell  9-4.
