The St. John's S Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Shenandoah Valley Academy 73-45. St. John's S was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Shenandoah Valley Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2018.
It was another big night for Avery Browne, who scored 27 points along with six steals and three blocks for Shenandoah Valley Academy. That makes it four consecutive games in which Browne has scored at least 25% of Shenandoah Valley Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Goodman-Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
St. John's S's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's S will square off against Legacy Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Takoma Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
