McBee fought the good fight in their overtime match against Lewisville on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat McBee has suffered yet this season.
The losing side was boosted by Tyrek Wright, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jakari Holloman, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Governor's School for Science & Math's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 88-25 loss at the hands of C.A. Johnson. Governor's School for Science & Math has struggled against C.A. Johnson recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
McBee's record is now 7-7. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
McBee was able to grind out a solid victory over Governor's School for Science & Math when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 60-49. Will McBee repeat their success, or does Governor's School for Science & Math have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
