The Togiak Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were the victim of a tough 74-51 defeat at the hands of Manokotak. Togiak has struggled against the Lynx recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Manokotak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Vicki Paul out in front who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karisha Bartman, who scored 14 points.
Togiak's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Manokotak, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Togiak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Lynx at 11:00 a.m. on February 3rd. Manokotak is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for they, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chief Ivan Blunka at 8:00 p.m. Chief Ivan Blunka comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
