With a playoff game on the line, the Clayton Comets rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 17-10 win over Pinecrest. The win made it back-to-back wins for Clayton.
Clayton pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Pinecrest, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-1.
Clayton will head out on the road to face off against Cardinal Gibbons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Gibbons is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. Pinecrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
