The Lima Senior Spartans were the 69-53 winner over the Bowsher BlueRacers when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Lima Senior was outmatched by Bowsher on the road and fell 62-30. Lima Senior has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Lima Senior lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Mallory Gipson. Despite the final result, she scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maisie Strawser, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Lima Senior now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Bowsher, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lima Senior will face off against Cory-Rawson at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bowsher, they will head out on the road to face off against Evergreen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
