The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Land O' Lakes Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wesley Chapel can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cypress Creek 72-42 at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Wesley Chapel considering their 23-point performance the matchup before.
Wesley Chapel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dayla Christopher led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sanai Forrester-Jhagroo, who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Land O' Lakes was able to grind out a solid victory over Sunlake on Thursday, taking the game 58-51.
Wesley Chapel's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Land O' Lakes, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Wesley Chapel came up short against Land O' Lakes in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 54-48. Can Wesley Chapel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
