After losing to the Mitchell Mustangs the last time they met, the Springstead Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Springstead enjoyed a cozy 66-52 win over Mitchell on Friday.
Austin Nicholson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with five assists. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Niko Cordello was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Springstead's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Mitchell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
