If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Phillips Academy. They will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against Salisbury School at 2:00 PM. Phillips Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Salisbury School will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Phillips Academy had to kick off their season on the road last Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 37-13 margin over Loomis Chaffee School. No one put up better numbers for Phillips Academy than senior Sal Lupoli, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns. In fact, with 19 tackles Lupoli was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Salisbury School couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 28-47 fall against Taft School.
Phillips Academy were able to grind out a solid win over Salisbury School the last time the two teams met, winning 19-7. Will Phillips Academy repeat their success, or does Salisbury School have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
