If The Page Pirates were feeling good off their 36-6 takedown of the Southeast Guilford Falcons last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Page took a serious blow against East Forsyth on Friday, falling 42-6. Page was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
Nigel Hinson threw for 67 yards and a touchdown. Amonti Peguese was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Maurice Andrews rushed for 88 yards.
East Forsyth got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryce Baker out in front who threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt. Baker is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played. Jaire Richburg did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 112 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Page now has a losing record at 5-6. As for East Forsyth, their victory was their 13th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-1.
Page does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East Forsyth will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Independence is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
