The San Juan Broncos will square off against the Bayfield Wolverines at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in San Juan's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Bayfield has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
On Monday, San Juan made easy work of Duchesne and carried off a 17-6 win. Considering the Broncos have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cooper Palmer was a standout: he fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Branten Bethea, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: San Juan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Bayfield was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Durango, falling 8-2.
Bayfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Queen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
San Juan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Bayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
Bayfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: San Juan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. It's a different story for Bayfield, though, as they've only averaged .223. Will they be able to contain San Juan's hitters?
San Juan was able to grind out a solid win over Bayfield when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 10-6. Will the Broncos repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
