The Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy Cougars posted their biggest win since November 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 66-42 margin over Still Creek Christian. With Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy ahead 36-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ayden Boyd, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Boyd hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Blake-Benard, who scored 13 points along with five steals and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Still Creek Christian had strong showings from Logan Walton, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals, and Jeremy Reed, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds. Walton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.
Even though they lost, Still Creek Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Still Creek Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against True North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. True North is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Still Creek Christian, they will square off against Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Faith Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
