Frankfort is 0-10 against Western Hills since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m.
Frankfort came up short against Great Crossing on Tuesday, falling 7-1.
Frankfort saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western Hills). Everything went their way against Lexington Christian on Monday as they made off with a 21-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Abby Noble made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Noble was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Western Hills got a massive performance out of Ryleigh Jeffries, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Jeffries a new career-high. Ella Wooldridge was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Western Hills hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive games.
Western Hills' victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Frankfort, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
