Baseball Recap: Leavitt Takes a Loss

Leavitt lost against Morse back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hornets fell just short of the Shipbuilders by a score of 10-8. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trent Holst was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Leavitt: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was John Oliver, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Leavitt's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Morse, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

While Leavitt had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
