Lexington is 0-9 against Tri-Valley since April of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Minutemen will look to defend their home field against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Lexington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Tri-Valley will be up against a hot Lexington squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Minutemen's way against Ridgeview on Friday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Minutemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Braeden Barber made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Blaine Friedmansky and Kayden Knight did most of the damage at the plate: Friedmansky got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Knight went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Knight has become a key player for Lexington: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-7 otherwise.
Lexington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Tri-Valley has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.07 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tremont. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Turks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Cade Danko was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Alexander, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Tri-Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-1. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
