Dutchtown entered their tilt with Walker on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Dutchtown pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Walker, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dutchtown will welcome East Ascension at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.4 runs per game on average), something the Griffins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Walker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denham Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
