The Awaken Christian Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 58-46 win over Adelson. The victory was just what Awaken Christian needed coming off of a 59-12 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Phoenix Sharp, who dropped a double-double on 43 points and 11 rebounds. The game was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Katelynn Montello, who scored nine points along with eight assists and four steals.
Awaken Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Adelson, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Awaken Christian will take on Pahranagat Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Adelson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on January 4th. Lincoln County is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
