Having just played yesterday, the Hondo Owls will jump right back in to play the Blanco Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Thursday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Hondo had to settle for a 29-26 defeat against Blanco. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hondo has scored all season.
Hondo has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Blanco, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Hondo couldn't quite finish off Blanco in their previous meeting on Thursday and fell 29-26. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Blanco's Mina Broyles, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Now that Hondo knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
