Puckett had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Raleigh on Tuesday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Lions. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Raegan Hardin was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Brooke Shivers was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Aubrey Pardue was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

Puckett has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Raleigh, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-15-1.

Puckett didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-6 defeat against Clinton on the 11th. As for Raleigh, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-3 loss against Pelahatchie on the 10th.
