 In other batting news,  Brooke Shivers was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Aubrey Pardue was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-5.
Puckett has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Raleigh, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-15-1.
 Puckett didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  16-6  defeat against Clinton on the 11th. As for Raleigh, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  4-3  loss against Pelahatchie on the 10th.
