Dorman has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Gaffney Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Dorman is ranked 29th, while Gaffney is ranked 27th).
Last Tuesday, Dorman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-42 to James F. Byrnes.
Despite the defeat, Dorman saw an underclassman step up: Sidney Davis scored eight points along with four steals. Nevaeh West was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Gaffney waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They blew past Spartanburg 71-51. Gaffney has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Dorman's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Gaffney, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Dorman strolled past Gaffney in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 57-40. Does Dorman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gaffney turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
