The Greenville Comets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 59-28 win over Wesclin on the road. Greenville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Katie Campbell was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Emma Veith, who scored 17 points.
Greenville has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Wesclin, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
Greenville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Centralia at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Centralia will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Wesclin, they will head out on the road to face off against Vandalia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vandalia has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
