Basketball Recap: Oak Hill's Loss Ends Ten-Game Winning Streak at Home

Oak Hill entered their game against Alexandria-Monroe on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Oak Hill Golden Eagles took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 50-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Oak Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landri Hardman, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 17 points and five assists. That's the most points Hardman has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Dailey, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds.

Jacklynn Hosier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Alexandria-Monroe, putting up 26 points. Hosier has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 45 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lily Harpe, who put up six points and five steals.

Oak Hill's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-2. As for Alexandria-Monroe, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.

Oak Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-22 win against Eastern on the 28th. Alexandria-Monroe has also already played their next contest (against Madison-Grant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
