With a playoff game on the line, the Balko Bison rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Bison 53-29. Balko has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Balko's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Estrella Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emelie Trentham, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
The win was the third in a row for Balko, bringing their record for this year to 15-6. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Balko's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lomega at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th. Balko has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Buffalo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
