Westfield put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Trousdale County Yellowjackets get on the board and left with  a   21-0  win. The Shamrocks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Matthew Spencer looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate,  Gavin Russ was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, eight  RBI,  and three  runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kasen Jessup, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 Westfield  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Westfield pushed their record up to 4-0 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average this season. As for Trousdale County,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-8.
 Westfield has already played their next matchup,  a  14-6  victory against Friendship Christian on the 11th. As for Trousdale County, they will head out to  face off against White House-Heritage  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so the Yellowjackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
