Magdalena was led to victory by Jorianne Mirabal and Kambree Montoya. Mirabal scored seven points along with nine rebounds and five assists, while Montoya scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Mirabal is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lanisha Vicente was another key contributor, scoring five points.
When it comes to explaining why Animas lost, one person who can't be blamed is Laikyn Davenport. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
