Weslaco East was not the first on the board  on Friday, but they got there more often. They blew past the Donna Redskins 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Antonio Solis was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out 12 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Aiden Gonzalez and  Tyler Gonzalez did most of the damage at the plate:  Aiden  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Tyler  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  Aiden a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Jayden Del Villar, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
The  win made it two in a row for Weslaco East and  bumps their season record up to 12-5. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Donna,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-9.
 Coming up, Weslaco East will challenge Porter at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Cowboys have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.71  runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Donna, they will take on Harlingen South at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
