Meanwhile, Mid Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They fell just short of Lackawanna Trail by a score of 3-2.
Mid Valley took Lackawanna Trail into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 22-25, 24-26, 15-8.
Scranton's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Mid Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
