Make it 12 blowout wins for the Clay-Chalkville Cougars this season. They put the hurt on Pinson Valley with a sharp 50-26 victory on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for Clay-Chalkville as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Pinson Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tamia Williams, who scored five points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Brown, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Clay-Chalkville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-2. As for Pinson Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay-Chalkville will take on Mountain Brook at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pinson Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Center Point at 6:00 p.m.
