Wesclin came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they left with even more momentum. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 72-56 win over the Sparta Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 16 points.

Dariontez Monroe and DJ Hayes certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Monroe went 9 for 14 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds, while Hayes went 7 of 15 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quintin Littlepage, who posted two points.

Wesclin's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Sparta, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Wesclin will venture away from home to square off against Carlyle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wesclin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Carlyle likes a good challenge. Sparta and Okawville will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
