The Pueblo South Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Pueblo County 45-9. Pueblo South has not had much luck with Pueblo County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Analisia Rendon was Pueblo South's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Pueblo South bumped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Pueblo County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pueblo South will take on Pueblo West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pueblo West presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pueblo South in Colorado (Pueblo West is ranked 50th, while Pueblo South is ranked 283rd). As for Pueblo County, they will be playing at home against Pueblo East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
