Mt. Vernon picked up another tournament win on Monday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-25 win over the Central Tigers. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.
Kamaree Pollard was her usual excellent self, putting up 13 points along with six steals and five assists. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Autumn Rudd, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
The victory made it two in a row for Mt. Vernon and bumps their season record up to 17-3. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
Mt. Vernon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-44 win against Pinckneyville on the 23rd. Central has also already played their next contest, a 45-30 defeat against Carterville on the 21st.
