The KIPP P Pride's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Wilson Prep, falling 83-44. KIPP P has not had much luck with Wilson Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilson Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Hicks, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Dickens, who scored 14 points.
KIPP P's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Wilson Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
KIPP P will be playing at home against Rocky Mount Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. KIPP P is on a four-game streak of home losses, Rocky Mount Prep a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Wilson Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warren County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Wilson Prep is ranked 74th).
