The Empire Ravens had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-13 victory over Rincon/University. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Empire was the (much) better team in the second half.
Empire got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kienan Parker out in front who rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Naveunxay did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why Rincon/University lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aundre King. Despite the final result, he rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
Empire's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Rincon/University, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Empire does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rincon/University also has no future games currently scheduled.
