The Scappoose Indians were the 68-31 winner over the St. Helens Lions when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Scappoose fell 59-50 to St. Helens on Tuesday.
Colton Sprenger and Quinton Olson certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Sprenger scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Olson scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Sprenger scored 15 or more points.
Scappoose's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for St. Helens, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scappoose will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Seaside at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Seaside is ranked 51st, while Scappoose is ranked 67th). As for St. Helens, they will head out on the road to face off against Tillamook at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
