Given Roanoke Valley Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Timberlake Christian is ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jeremy Chou continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Nelson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview Christian pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Blue Ridge Christian. Ridgeview Christian has struggled against Blue Ridge Christian recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Roanoke Valley Christian pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Ridgeview Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
