Alexander has gone a perfect 6-0 against Lithia Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Alexander is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Monday. Everything went Alexander's way against Newnan as they made off with a 14-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Alexander, who have now won 15 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ebbie Simmons was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kenzie Townsend was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since September 3rd. Madison Smith was another key player, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Alexander hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newnan struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lithia Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over New Manchester on Thursday.
Lithia Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephafie Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That run was Hernandez's first of the season.
Alexander's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Lithia Springs, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 5-12.
Lithia Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Alexander hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. It's a different story for Lithia Springs, though, as they've only averaged .194. Will they be able to contain Alexander's hitters?
