Josh Kweller made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Vestal: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 1-2 otherwise. Kweller was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Parker Terrell looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
Back at the plate, Ben Tanton was incredible, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Colin Fimbres was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Vestal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Binghamton only posted an OBP of .296.
